We all are fond of installing new software’s now and then either to
customize PC or accomplish work more easily or add new features to
Windows and for several other reasons. On installing any utility program
on the system, an equivalent registry entry is created on the system.
These registry entries often stay back in the system even when the
software is completely removed or uninstalled from the system. Today we
will be discussing on issues with Programs cannot be uninstalled. In

while un-installing a program.

Fix – Programs cannot be Uninstalled on Windows 8
- First try uninstalling program from control panel. Press Windows + C and type in control panel in the search charm. Go to Un-install/ remove program tab and remove the software you want to get rid of.
- Open program files and locate the program folder or software folder created in C: Drive. Delete it using Shift + Delete keys on keyboard.
- If you have upgraded from the older version to the new ones and still get to see the older along with the new one. In this case you either get to program files and delete the folder for the older version keeping only the new ones or uninstall both and re-install the new version. Even after upgrading you are still using the older version instead of the new ones then you need to uninstall and re-install with the new version.

- If the uninstaller doesn’t help you removing or uninstalling the program, then you can try running the utility in safe mode. Reboot your system and press F8 when the logo appears on screen. Run IObit Uninstaller and see if it helps.
