Computer Fails to Boot, PSU problem

Computer fails to boot on plugging out the PSU. However, there can be several reasons behind its cause. It may be due to a failing power supply unit or other internal issues. Many users have been complaining that computer fails to operate when the plugged out or say battery doesn’t charge. Today we will be discussing about how you can fix the power supply issue on Windows 8.

Many users out there are using surge protector to protect PC from voltage spikes or sudden rise in voltage. But at times users have encountered issues after plugging out power cord. In this tutorial we will be discussing some possible fixes to fix the Power failure issues on Windows 8.
PSU or Power supply unit plays a vital role in functioning of PC. It is the PSU that triggers other component on the motherboard. If you are unable to boot your PC after plugging out, then try the fixes described below.
Check for the PSU or adapter. Try turning on your system using other power cord and see if you are able to boot your PC. If not then computer PSU is in question. If the system boots on plugging other Power cord then your power cord need to be replaced.
At times users have been complaining that even after plugging the power cord the system turn on but after some time the system turns off. This may be due to faulty PSU or unusual power plan settings. Before moving on to any conclusion make sure that power plan are set properly.
Open power options menu and click on change what the power buttons do and scroll down in the new window and uncheck the Turn on fast startup (recommended) or Hybrid Shutdown option. Hybrid shut down offers faster startup but at times can mislead your PC.

If the system fails to boot then press F2 and enter system BIOS and start looking for unusual behavior or settings and set them right away. Or try cleaning the CMOS.
If you are using laptop then pull out the system battery and reseat it back to the original position after 5-10 minutes.
If you are a novice then you must contact the manufacturer if none of the steps help. As this can be an internal problem with the hardware or the PSU unit.
